Thank you for perusing Heavenside.

My name is Keary. I'm a Hawaiian, a Canadian, a gunslinging child of the New Mexican desert, and a starving NW musician. At this juncture, I live in Portland with one lovely lady, one hefty mortgage, three squishy kitties that seem to endlessly consume mountains of food, rooms of vintage musical instruments, and way too much grass.

I don't believe in partisanship, and I do believe in change, although I often disapprove of those who currently claim to promote it. I am a radical supporter of art in school and vocal opponent of gun control. I prefer pianos that are at least 80 years old. I collect Super8 cameras, british rifles, and accordions. My stereo will often play Rachmaniov and Converter back to back with Joy Division and Weather Report. Almost everything I own I bought on Craigslist. I drive BMW for the great fuel economy and own guns to promote peace. I like 7/8 and prefer C or F major because there are less black keys. I hope that doesn't make me racist.

Never let anyone tell you that it's uncool to like Neil Diamond. It's only uncool to like things that other people tell you to.
