 ABOUT

 Photo Galleries (Keary Ortiz, Photographer)

Welcome to my digital photograph storage facility. I never really fancied myself much of a photographer, but I do enjoy taking pictures. In the field, I use a Nikon F3 with 28mm F2.8 Prime lens, a 4/3 System Olympus E-300 8.0 MP SLR, and of course, a trusty Nikon D1X 5.3 MP SLR With a DX 18-35mm F3.5 wideangle and an AF-D 28mm-105mm Macro. For production, my weapons of choice are a Power Macinotsh G5 and a shiny new Macbook 1.83ghz Intel Core Duo both with Photoshop CS. Since I never really got around to choosing a thumbnail browser for heavenside.net, I began to utelize a Flickr Pro account and have nothing but good things to say about the site's user-friendly and speedy nature.

I really just take pictures for myself, but hope that you find something that you enjoy as well. Thanks!

-Keary

After too much money spent on fast food, too many miles spent on highways in Utah, and enough rain to float a skyscraper, we're here and happy (albeit drenched) in Portland Oregon. Take a moment to look over images of The Frontier.

A collage of the deluge- photos takes inside my car during the rainstorms that made national news.

"How many years since you found yourself staring at an endless sky?" Our departure on the 15th from Albuquerque and brown of New Mexico will be bitter-sweet indeed. "The Desert" streched from forest to river, from rock to sand, and holds many hearts captive in it's winds. Here are some snapshots of The Wasteland.

The road to Cuba, New Mexico across the Cabezon wilderness.

Lightning strikes Kirtland Airforce Base south of Eubank in Albuquerque.

Below is a small sampling of some of some of the images found in the Burning Life Gallery, which is mainly a repository of pretty things that don't really go anywhere else. Still life, long exposures, and more. Check it out!
